Synthesis, Spectral Characterization, electrochemical and electrocatalytic study of Nickel (II) Schiff Base Complexes

Abstract
Two novel Schiff based ligands have been synthesized with furfuraldehyde and αnapthylamine (complex-I) and 4-dimethylamino benzaldehyde and α-napthylamine (complex-II) with transition metal Ni(II) and characterized by UV-Visible, FT-IR and Mass spectroscopy. The redox properties of the complexes were widely studied by electrochemical methods using cyclic voltammetry (CV). These metal complexes were investigated for their catalytic activity in presence of alkyl halides using electrochemical studies.
