INTEGRATION OF ICT IN SHAPING TEACHING-LEARNING PRACTICES: DEMAND OF THE NEW DIGITAL WORLD

Abstract
The inception of Information and communication technology has made formidable modification in modern times. Digital phenomenon has taken over every area in the world. The introduction of ICT in the area of education has assisted to enhance the quality of education. This has ultimately managed intense engagement in teaching and learning process. The present study proposes to analogize the findings from a review of an array of accessible literature associated to the utilization of ICT in transforming the modern day education. It has also affected the modern day educators and their professional development. Teaching learning expertise skills in 21st century stress out the extremity to reconstruct the traditional teacher-centered pedagogy to added learner-centered methodology. Knowledge bound student community can be generated through progressive and collaborative learning circumstances which is expedited by ICT. It is imperative for all faculties at school and higher education to utilize technology in their teaching and also for their professional growth.
