AN EFFICIENT RISK ASSESSMENT OVER ENCRYPTED KEY IMAGE ON PRIVATE CLOUD

Abstract
Cloud computing is a model of internet-based computing where the resources like storage space, online software are
provided by different cloud service providers to different types of cloud users who needs cloud services. When a cloud user
outsources the data on cloud, it has to provide more security for outsourced data preventing data manipulated or accessed by
unauthorized users. So, to maintain data integrity, each and every cloud service has to be stored securely. For easier accessing of
files and to generate file indexes, each file is stored in cloud server.Users will search files and send download request several
times to cloud server.This process is time consuming and it is less reliable. As the cloud is third party server, the cloud service
provider might have access to the files after all both the encrypted file with correspondent key and file indexes are stored in the
same cloud server.To overcome these problems, this system introduces two different locations namely storage nodes for storing
file indexes as well as the encrypted files and the cloud server stores file keys separately. When a user uploads a file into the cloud
server, AES algorithm is used to encrypt the uploaded file and corresponding key is generated automatically. Then using Visual
cryptography scheme,[8] the key is generated into two images namely key image and source image. The encrypted file along with
the the file indexes are stored in an isolated storage node, whereas the source images are stored in cloud server and key image is
passed to file owner confidentially. Search action is performed whenever the file is required by the user and key image is given as
an input. If the key and source image matches, it is valid then the file can be downloaded.
