A REVIEW ON DETECTION AND CLASSIFICATION OF PLANT DISEASES

Abstract
Now a day’s agriculture is an impact factor on national economy and also effects on the percentage
of rain. Agriculture mainly depends on the rain. So, in order to increase The production in agriculture (farming)
the growth of plants and crops should be good. If any defects has been occurred during the growth the
production will reduces. Due to this reason defects (on leaves, stem, roots, etc.) should be find out in the early
stages and have to provide the solution also. The process of detection and classification of plant diseases needs
to be done efficiently and accurately. In this process loading of plant images is the first step. After loading the
image will undergo the pre-processing then the image is segmented by use supervised (region-based, Otsu
based, etc.) and unsupervised (clustering) segmentation process. Feature extraction has been done by GLCM or
Histogram, then the local and biological features are determined. The classification of diseases is done by the
different classifiers (SVM, ANN, RBFF, K-NN, etc.). In this paper, the different detection and classification
tools are givenbriefly.
