Review on Internet of Things Network Protocols

Abstract
Internet of things has evolved enormously in the past few decades. Most of the prevailing sectors like medical, engineering, safety and transportation employ applications and objects based on internet of things. IoT comprises of protocols based on data and network. Authors have discussed Internet of Things Network protocols in this research paper in detail. These are named as Bluetooth, ZigBee and Long Range Wide area Network. Bluetooth communication protocol is safe and ideal for transmission between electronic devices i.e. wireless and low power, short range and low cost. A low energy variant of Bluetooth protocol is known as Bluetooth low energy (BLE), ZigBee supports a low rate transfer of data between short distances. LoRaWAN low power and long range protocol that detects the signals below the noise level and this connection is created in either private or global networks. Smart homes and security systems equip this protocol for their working. Their basic architecture and applications are discussed and results are declared.

Key words: Bluetooth, Internet of Things, Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN), Network Protocols and ZigBee.
