Abstract
Career development refers to the choice, participation, and advancement of a person in the educational, vocational, and other vital aspects of life, whose ultimate goal is the fulfilment of career-related goals of the individual. Students at college are usually undergoing a change in their career exploration; they continue to reassess reality, realize their thoughts, and set tentative career paths. But career decisions made by college students have a vital impact on their career development. College-going graduates, however, still lack positive attitudes to job planning, and never study or pursue other technical fields. Consequently, they face greater stress about their career development relative to other university students. This stress prevents not only future career decision making and preparation but also undermines their ability to engage in sport training. Identifying the key factors affecting their career development and therefore providing guidance is essential to developing a robust and effective training system for sport talents. Finding attention is a key factor influencing work attitudes, and supports the validity of this claim in relevant studies.

Key words: Barriers, Career counselling, Career transition, Downsizing, Social environment
