DEVELOPING OF STUDENT WORKSHEETTHEMATIC BASED ON HIGH ORDER THINKING SKILLS (HOTS)

Abstract
Learning based on product is a must in the education era 4.0. The teacher is not only uses
conventional learning, but also gives the facilities to support students in learning by using a
product. Then, the student can receive the meaningful learning experience. Providing of
meaningful learning experience can be conducted by the teacher through student worksheet. In
this case, student worksheet should emerge student competency, build critical thinking for the
students and it can be used individually at home. The goal of this study is resulting of product of
student worksheet to increase high order thinking for the students. This research is a research and
development (R&D) proposed byBrog and Gall with reference to Sugiyono's methodology. The
results of the study showed that the HOTS-based Thematic student worksheet was declared valid
with a score of 98.33% with the category "very eligible". It can be seen from the assessment given
by validators including design experts, materials, languages, and learning. HOTS based
Thematicstudent worksheet was also declared practical. This was obtained from a questionnaire
filled out by 41 respondents after using the student worksheet which obtained a value of 94.66%
with the category "very eligible". HOTS based Thematicstudent worksheet to improve high level
thinking is declared effective, this is seen from the average value before using student worksheet,
which is 73.63 and after using student worksheet, which is 82.59. It can be concluded that the
development of HOTS based Thematicstudent worksheet to improve thinking skills to high levels
of students are declared valid, practical, and efficient.
