COVID – 19 PANDEMIC THE AYURVEDA PERSPECTIVE

Abstract
Covid-19 pandemic has presented with unprecedented challenges to mankind. The index case was registered in Wuhan, People’s Republic of China (PRC). Since then it has rapidly spread to more than 200 countries and territories just over a span of three months leading to more than 1.7 lakh deaths globally. Containment of infection and breaking the chain of the transmission in the community is of primary concern. This article stress on the need of healthy lifestyle, ayurvedic modalities to supplement the immune system and various herbs as well as medicines under evaluation for possible role in management of Covid-19 patients.
