Abstract
This research aims to (knowing the effect of an educational program based on the pivotal thinking skills in the achievement of fifth literary among female students of the fifth literary class of literary texts). To achieve this, the researcher followed two approaches:
The first: It would be descriptive to build the proposed educational program, as its construction went through basic stages: (the analysis and design stage, the implementation phase, and the evaluation phase). The program's philosophy, foundations, justifications, and general and behavioral goals have been defined. Organizing content, choosing teaching methods, teaching aids, accompanying enrichment activities and assessment methods have been clarified.
As well as the teacher's guide and student book, the researcher has verified its validity by presenting it to a group of arbitrators. And the other: it is experimental in order to know the effect of the proposed educational program on achievement in literary texts. The researcher adopted an experimental design with partial control, which is the design of the control group with the post-test.
So, the researcher formulated the following hypothesis: There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of female students of the experimental group who are studying literary texts subject according to the educational program and the average scores of female students of the control group who are studying the same subject in the achievement test.
The researcher intentionally chose the Al-Khamayel Preparatory School for Girls of the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad / Karkh 3, which includes four divisions for the fifth literary class, and by simple random withdrawal, division (C) has become an experimental group studying the educational program and the number of its students is (30), and Division (D) is a control group studying the traditional program prepared by the Ministry of Education, the number of female students is (30) female students, and thus, the number of members of the research sample has become (60) female students. He has rewarded statistically among the female students of the two research groups in the variables (time age, language ability, intelligence test, previous year grades in the Arabic language subject, parents' achievement). As for the research tool, he prepared an achievement test that includes (50) paragraphs distributed among objective paragraphs (40) paragraphs, and article paragraphs (10) paragraphs. He verified the validity and consistency of the test and extracted psychometric properties, and then dimensional applied the test to female students of the research sample.
He studied the two research groups during the duration of the experiment, which lasted an entire semester of the academic year (2019-2020).Then the results were analyzed using the statistical bag (spss), and the search resulted in a statistically significant difference between the average scores of female students of the two research groups in the achievement test at the level of significance (0.05) and degree of freedom (58) and in favor of the experimental group superiority of the experimental group, and to complete the level of statistical significance He applied (ETA square) to measure the size of the effect of the program, so the program was effective.
That is, the proposed program had a positive effect on female students' achievement, thereby rejecting the zero hypotheses. In light of this result, the researcher concluded that the educational program contributed to increasing the achievement of female students in literary texts subject, confirming the validity of the literature, and previous studies of the effectiveness of teaching on pivotal thinking skills in achievement.
The researcher recommended several recommendations, including: Adoption of the proposed educational program in teaching other stages, and suggested conducting a similar research for the curren
