PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF ROUTING IN ENHANCED ZONE BASED CLUSTERING PROTOCOL IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a large number of small sensing, self-powered nodes that gather information or detect special events and communicate, in a wireless fashion, with the end goal of handing over the data to the Base Station (BS). The three key elements of sensing, processing and communication are combined into one tiny sensor device, which has applications in diverse fields like environment monitoring, human behavior monitoring, military surveillance, disaster relief operations, child education, microsurgery and agriculture. The need to achieve prolonged wireless sensor network lifetime deployment, has fueled research into Enhanced Zone Stable Election Protocol based on Fuzzy Logic for Cluster Head Election in Wireless Sensor Networks (FZSEP-E) clustering algorithm that better optimizes the energy consumption in a more efficient manner. FZSEP-E algorithm elects cluster head using fuzzy logic with multi-level clustering, considering diverse parameters. In this paper, performance evaluation of routing in FZSEP-E protocol is analyzed
