    Abstract

This descriptive study examines the cultural glimpses present in the selected fiction of Chetan Bhagat, one of the most popular contemporary Indian authors. Through an analysis of his novels, the study explores the ways in which he depicts and portrays Indian society, culture, and values. This portrayal also stems from the variety of cultural influences that are introduced cleverly in his books, which are overall pointing towards various socio-political realities of the contemporary world. The study also examines how his writing reflects and responds to social, political, and cultural issues in contemporary India. The analysis is based on a close reading of some of his selected novels, including Five Point Someone, One Night @ the Call Center, The 3 Mistakes of My Life, 2 States, and Half Girlfriend. The study offers insights into the cultural representation in contemporary Indian literature and highlights the importance of cultural perspectives in literary analysis.
