Improving the Security in Vehicular Ad Hoc Network using Enhanced Probability based Platoon Trust Algorithm (EP-PTA)

Abstract
Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is the formation of vehicles with variety of invariable facilities on roads named as Road Side Units (RSUs). These networks are based on self-organization and hence the communications happens between various vehicles and sub-structure. There are many specifications include in this network and that causes more problems in terms of security. This problems leads to collaborate with researches based on their interest. In this work, a novel security method named as Enhanced Probability based Platoon Trust Algorithm (EP-PTA) is proposed
for better security and reliable communication between the vehicles. The enhanced method helps in verification of
history about platoon members by checking the messages. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model the
evaluation parameters have been measured and proved that throughput, packet delivery ratio and probability of detection
are improved while reducing end to end delay.
