DESIGN OF ADVANCED AND AUTOMATIC WATER LEVEL METER FOR ALERTING POPULATION ABOUT FLOODS

Abstract
ABSTRACT
In this paper the design of automatic water level indication system for dams is implemented. Here the entire
operation is controlled by the ARM. If the water level in the dam is reached to low level then automatically, the
water will be sent to the nearby dams and an SMS is sent through global system for mobile communication
system to the concern officer. In the same way if the water level in the dam is reached to medium level then 2
gates will be opened automatically and again message will be sent to the corresponding officer using GSM. Now
at last when the water level in the dam is reached to high level then all the gates of dam will be opened and a
message will be sent to the officer. Therefore, almost every household as one and ten millions of them are living
near DAMS, but very few people realize that a processor and software are involved into the control of flood.
