Sekar Ayu Aryani.

Abstract
The development of soft-skills in Higher Education Institution is a necessity, in line with the increasingly competitive employment for university graduates. Industries expect not only educational excellence or hard-skills from the graduates, but also soft-skills. Soft-skills, often associated with various life skills, including character and personality, could be developed from the values obtained during Higher Education years, including religious values. This article highlights the extent to which current religious-based universities in Indonesia take advantage of opportunities for the soft-skills development derived from religious values, as well as efforts to improve the quality of graduates who are generally still under non-religious universities. Our research findings on all five universities, namely UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (Islam), Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana Yogyakarta (Christian), Universitas Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta (Catholic), Institut Hindu Dharma Negeri Denpasar (Hinduism) and Sekolah Tinggi Agama Buddha Wonogiri (Buddhism) found that all participating universities have not effectively utilized the religious values that they embraced as the basis for developing their studentsí softskills. With varying levels and models of development, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana is the most optimal in the development of soft-skill based on this religious value compared to the other four Religious-based Universities.

Key words: Soft skills, Religious Values, Religious Universities.
