Early Detection of Diabetes from the Fundus image of the Retina using CNN and SVM

Abstract
Retinal Image analysis is used to predict the type of disease in human body. Most Complex metabolic disease so called diabetes can be identified from the fundus image of the retina. This can be done by pre-processing, segmentation, feature extraction and classification. Pre-processing of fundus image can be done by medium filter and it is segmented by using Otsu's method. Feature Extraction can be done by using Convolutional Neural Network and then it is classified using Support vector Machine Classifier. This paper develops a hybrid model for the prediction of diabetes disease with greater accuracy. This hybrid technique is applied to the online datasets of fundus images to detect the diabetes with higher accuracy of 0.9708.
