A REVIEW ON: HOW EMPLOYEE JOB PERFORMANCE INFLUENCED BY THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AT WORKPLACE

Abstract
There are a number of research papers and articles regarding the use of social media because it is rapidly growing everywhere
in the world. These articles and research papers provide relevant review regarding social media usage by employees at the
workplace. The purpose of present review paper is to have systematic review of the past studies in order to identify the role
of social media in the employees’ job performance. In the systematic review process, fifty five review papers related to the
usage of social media have been taken from 43 reputed journals in this study. Results indicated that the job performance of
employees is not directly affected by social media usage in organizations.

Key words: Job Performance, Social Capital, Work Life Balance, Social Networking Sites & Social Media.
