TANTRIC ART: IDIOSYNCRATIC PHENOMENA OF ARTIST

Abstract
The art of Tantra call it ‘abstract expressionism’; others insist it’s just a visual interplay of
cosmic symbols. “Tantra originated from the union of Shiva and Shakti, an intense practice of rituals and
customs.” The word Tantra means weave, system which indicates the obscure heritage of Hinduism and
Buddhism. This tradition was developed in the middle of 1st millennium A.D. Tantra – a typical spiritual system
to solve the mystery of existence and connection with the universe. When we talk about tantric art, in te present
time then the very first name comes in our mind that is artist Sohan Qadri. This is the study to explore the art
work of this contemporary artist. The study presents different colours of a special phenomena that is unique
from the world .
