5TH GENERATION NETWORKS (5G): A STUDY ON SECURITY, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract
The 5th generation networks (5G) are expected to apply technological concepts to fulfil the
requirements of a enormous quantity of devices to connect and have broadband connection anywhere anytime in
a fast, reliable and cost effective way .5G networks will be a key element to satisfy future demands of people to
have ultra high speed data rate, network coverage and very low latency rate. Along with advantages of 5G, there
are also some challenges for instance infrastructure, communication, sensing, navigating and privacy and
security. This research paper aims to review 5G technology, 5G network architecture as well as security
challenges and expected solutions of 5th Generation network securities. Use of secondary study has been done
by reviewing various research papers, articles, books, and material from the internet.
