A STUDY ON THE NEED FOR WORKFORCE DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

Abstract
Workforce - diversity has been considered as one of the significant implications in the field of
management. The managers are now required to shift their approach from treating each group of employees alike
to recognizing differences among the employees and designing such policies so as to encourage among
their employees for creativity, improving the productivity, reduce employee - turnover and avoid any sort of
discrimination. Successful Work-force diversity management policy and program will definitely make a
sizeable difference in the communication among employees and the general productivity of the
organization. Organizationís need to recognize and manage workforce diversity effectively. The study is
focused with a view to explore how practically the efforts are being made among the organizations to
manage workforce diversity and its consequences to the companyís existence as well as to examine how
companies deal with challenges that comes with employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
