CORPORATE ETHICS AND CUSTOMER BASE

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to know how corporate ethics or corporate social responsibility affect
the buying behaviour of the customer while purchasing a specific product. To address issues of customerís
behaviour while buying, various factors are considered that can affect the purchasing behaviour of the customer.
Qualitative method is used for this paper as it defines appropriately how factors like brand image, trust, loyalty,
etc. are going to make customers decide their purchasing behaviour. Moreover, this paper discusses the
assumptions of the existing approaches and concepts such as the consumer's perception of corporate social
responsibility (CPCSR), corporate social responsibility, trust and loyalty of the organisations. The concept of
consumerís perception of corporate social responsibility implies what customers expect from the organisations to
be an ethical organisation.
