Effect of Organizational Culture and Leadership behavior on job satisfaction – A study of small and middle-sized enterprises in Odisha

Abstract
The small and medium - sized enterprises have emerged over decades as a highly dynamic sector
of the Indian economy. Every enterprise for its success needs to know the effect of organization culture and
leadership behaviour. There are two aspects that all organizations have in common i.e they must have leadership
and culture, which in combination take the organization ahead. Organization culture has a noticeable impact on
how employees view their organizational responsibilities and their job satisfaction. Leaders influence their
subordinates both directly through their interactions and indirectly through the organization’s culture. The paper
explained specific employee behaviours associated with transformational and transactional leadership and how
they both have affected the organizational culture and job satisfaction.
