THE EFFECTS OF DIGITAL PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING AND ENTREPRENEURIAL MOTIVATION ON CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE

Abstract
The purposed of this research is to examine the effect of the Digital Problem-Based Learning (DPBL) strategy on conceptual understanding of Business Model Canvas (BMC) based on entrepreneurial motivation differences. This research used quasi-experiment design using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The research subject were 140 students divided into 4 groups, 2 experimental groups and 2 control groups. The experimental groups used DPBL strategy while the control groups used Discussion strategy. Sampling technique used purposive random sampling. The entrepreneurial motivation instruments used a questionnaire developed by Frazier, Barbara; Niehm, Linda S (2008) and was validated and reliability tested by Darpujianto in his Dissertation (2013). Students entrepreneurial motivation was identified using Fuzzy C-Means algorithm based on the career attractiveness and feasibility of business. The assessment instrument of conceptual understanding Business Model Canvas used a rubric developed by (Osterwalder & Pigneur, 2010) through the development of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, implementation, Evaluation) which consists of 9 blocks of business activity areas. The data were analyzed using Univariate Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Based on the results of the research, all significance values less than 0.05. The result shows that a significance difference conceptual understanding of Business Model Canvas between students with DPBL and the one Discussion strategy. In Addition, a significant difference of conceptual understanding of Business Model Canvas between students with high entrepreneurial motivation and the ones with low entrepreneurial motivation. The interaction effect between those strategies and entrepreneurial motivation was found.
