Abstract
The purpose of this study is to uncover the behaviour of fraud by internalizing Toraja culture in Bourdieu's thought by using Bourdieu's tools namely habitus, field, and capital. This research method uses qualitative methods that emphasize an in-depth understanding of fraud prevention by internalizing Toraja culture in Bourdieu's thought. The informants in this research are five internal auditors from the Toraja tribe. Data collection was carried out using the depth interview method with the informants and carried out direct observations in the daily activities of the informants. The results of this study reveal that fraud can be prevented by the maintenance and application of the system and internalization of cultural values held by each individual in a company. It is necessary to understand the concept of Bourdieu's thought; habitus, field, and capital in preventing fraud against internal auditors in the future.
