Improvement Characteristics of the Shaped Metal Deposited Component Using External Excited System

Abstract
In this study, shield-bright 309L stainless steel wire was deposited using a double wire-excited shaped
metal deposition machine. The influence of oscillation frequency on the deposited wall, microstructure,
microhardness, and tensile strength was investigated. The results showed that the oscillation-frequency
produced excitation force on the deposited wall. With metallic lustre and the weld formation became much
better.
Furthermore, the excitation force provided thermal and dynamic conditions for nucleation and grain
refinement, increased the width of the fine equiaxed grain region, and increased the number of non-dendrite
equiaxed grains. The average microhardness and tensile strength of the deposited part at a frequency of 500
Hz reached the maximum value with the grain refining and crystallized transformation, 297.275 HVand
817.2 respectively.
