Abstract
Sectio caesarea (SC) is a surgical procedure to give birth to a fetus through an incision in the
abdominal wall and uterine wall but the SC action also has several dangers of complications, such as
wound infections, thrombophlebitis, bleeding and post-operative pain. The prevalence of SC continues to
increase from year to year, the average standard of SC in a country is around 5-15% per 1000 births in the
world. to obtain outcomes related to maternal and neonatal outcomes in emergency sectio caesarea. The
researcher screened 242 literature reviews from four databases (PubMed, Science Direct, Wiley and
Proquest) for review. All articles are selected using quantitative research methodology indexed by
Scopus. The population in this review is all emergency caesarean section deliveries. Scoping review
results from searching articles from 4 databases found that the study design was found to be related to
maternal and neonatal outcomes in emergency cesarean section of 7. Themes obtained from scoping
review results were asphyxia, infant mortality, icterus, bleeding and surgical site infection. The
conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the scooping review is that maternal and neonatal
outcomes in emergency sectio caesarea have a worse impact than other caesarean sections
