PROBLEMS OF MARKETING OF HANDLOOM PRODUCTS BY THE WOMAN ENTREPRENEURS OF MISING COMMUNITY: WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO JORHAT DISTRICT OF ASSAM.

Abstract
The handloom products have a distinct place in the world of fabrics. Moreover, the handloom industry provides
employment opportunities to millions of people in the country. Marketing is considered to be one of the burning
issues in entrepreneurship. Appropriate marketing strategies are greatly needed to boost the sale of handloom
products. In order to facilitate the promotion of marketing of handloom products; strengthening of Handloom
Organizations, organization of fairs and exhibitions, digital advertisement, etc. are much needed. This paper
attempts in identifying the major problems faced by the woman entrepreneurs of Mising community in marketing
their handloom products and aims at providing necessary suggestions to overcome it.
