REDUNDANCY AWARE COST OPTIMIZATION IN WORKFLOW IN CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
Cloud Computing has been one of the major platform for various application such as artificial
intelligence, big data, Internet of Things and others; especially in last decade the cloud computing demand has
been precedent. Further rise in demand of cloud computing has made it complex in nature and this might result
in software or hardware failure, also due to the aophisticated architure, failure might not be detected and
repaired at given timeline and end up costing higher. Besides these issues, it also suffers from system reliability;
in response of these issue, several researcher have designed their mechanism, however they failed to understand
cloud complex environment. Hence, in this research work , a simulation driven framework has been designed
for improvising the fault tolerance. Furthermore, we have developed RACO (Redundancy Aware Cost
Optimization) to achieve the reliability and optimize the cost in workflow model; RACO mechanism is parted
into the different submechanism which includes the fault tolerance optimization, solving the reliability issue
and later optimizing the cost through introducing the parameter. Further RACO is evaluated by considering the
various scientific workflows considering the cost parameter and our model outperforms existing model.
