ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN AUTOMATIC MELANOMA DETECTION

Abstract
Artificial-intelligence (AI) concentrates on the development of smart and expert systems. These
systems are available for Healthcare. Melanoma is a deadliest form of skin cancer. Early detection of Melanoma
expedites low death rate. AI health care based tools are popular for automatic detection of melanoma in a noninvasive
manner. AI helps to design automatic Melanoma detection systems which work on medical images of
infected areas of skin and help to identify the root cause and impact of a disease on the human body. The
purpose of this study is to investigate the AI based eHealth tools for Melanoma analysis and detection. In the
crucial time of the corona pandemic when it is not possible to visit pathological labs. Using the knowledge of
AI based eHealth tools the growth and penetration of melanoma can be tracked easily at home. All Image based
AI diagnosis system classify objects by comparing the extracted features of the given object against the given
feature vectors. Medical image based diagnosis systems consider inputs in the form of an object's image,
analyzes features and classifies the object in different categories of disease. Application areas where AI applied
to image processing are face recognition, skin and breast cancer identification, DNA analysis, pattern
recognition, Gamma-ray imaging, X-Ray imaging, Medical CT scan, UV imaging. In comparison to manual
measurement which is based on experience of practitioner AI based melanoma detection is more rigorous.
Melanoma is a seditious form of skin cancer so in this framework of study AI based eHealth tools and
educational videos are explored related to the field of melanoma. As a compendium the awe inspiring
awareness of melanoma by the review of AI based eHealth tools and educational demonstrative videos will lead
to more chances of survival for the patient.
