SPONTANEITY IN BANKERíS ATTITUDE FOR SATISFYING CUSTOMERíS PERCEPTION AVAILING HOME LOAN

Abstract
The present study is to make a comprehensive study on bankerís attitudes towards their services
and meeting the expectation of customer perception. The study includes an analysis into different prospective i.e.
segregating the services into different factors and assigning the components respectively. The study applies
chi-square analysis and varimax rotation method on the respondents collected from the customers availing home
loan of both public and private banks of Odisha, India. It further includes the banks that are operated in rural and
urban areas. The result shows that private companies are more competent in satisfying the customerís perception
due to spontaneous responses of the staffs but the public banks are more experienced in providing knowledgeable
staff. The study also found that the public sector banks are proficient to attract new customers in rural areas due to
the trust factor while the private banks in urban sectors are catching the new customer through their innovative
services. But there is certain dissatisfaction like private bankers prefers to invest maximum on outlooks and high
service charges while the public banks pay maximum stress on its policies. The present study can be considered as
a counterplan for both the banking sectors as it suggests a wide range of components that are maintained by
respective competitors that can be considered as the competitive advantage of bankers.
