WOMAN’S RIGHTS AND RELIGIUS FREEDOM IN INDIA

Komal Soni, Dr. Deepti Monga.

Abstract
In India people live with freedom and dignity because persons are entitled with some rights and those rights are all in
favour of the particular. So, taking this into consideration they are delegated with some rights regarding their religion.
They are made entitled to enjoy their religious right and also it is said that “where there is a human being there is a
religion of the person”. Religion has become a part which cannot be tore apart from a person’s life. All the religion and
cultures are accepted as well.
The right to religion, like all the other rights is provided with equality to all the persons in the country without
discriminating in on any basis of gender or sex of the person. There can be no interruption accepted by a person unless
he/she is being affected.
The research reveals the present scenario of the rights of a woman in society, how a woman is being imposed and
compelled to obey with some men made rituals and rules on the name of religion and how the concept of equality is
waning in the society.
The present research is based on the doctrinal methodology, theoretical resources like books, novels, reviews,
judgements and other sources.

Key words: “where there is a human being there is a religion of the person”.
