BRAIN TUMOR DETECTION AND CLASSIFICATION IN MEDICAL IMAGES USING FEATURE EXTRACTION BASED MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHM

Abstract
The intention of this paper is to propose an optimal method to perceive brain tumor. It is a kind of disease which has
to be treated at it earlier stages. Hence it is predominant to identify the tumor growth in order to get rid of the
catastrophic effects, as per objective of this paper MRI imaging technique is being encompassed for the detection
and classification of normal and tumor affected brain. Anisotropic filter is being applied to eradicate surroundings
noise in the image of the brain. For the segmentation of tumor affected region from the non-affected regions is
inclusive with the help of Hybrid Genetic Algorithm with Support Vector Machine. GLCM is used for the extraction
of the image. The proposed approach is used an outstretched way to differentiate normal brain and tumor affected
brain.
