Suman Kumar, Shruti Singh, Sushmita Banerjee.

Abstract
Solid waste management is a challenge for the cities’ authorities in developing countries mainly due to the increasing generation of waste, the burden posed on the municipal budget as a result of the high costs associated to its management, the lack of understanding over a diversity of factors that affect the different stages of waste management and linkages necessary to enable the entire handling system functioning. The analysis was conducted in two of the major scientific journals, Waste Management Journal and Waste Management and Research. The goal of this study was to assess the action / behavior of the players engaged in the waste management cycle and to examine important program influences in more than thirty urban areas in 22 developing countries on four continents. In this analysis, a variety of approaches was used to analyze stakeholders and the factors influencing waste management efficiency for communities. Information is gathered from scientific literature, current datasets, observations made during visits to urban areas, formal interviews with local experts, group member assessments and a stakeholder questionnaire. To draw conclusions, concise and inferential statistical methods were used. Research results are a comprehensive list of key players of waste management processes and a compilation of reasons that identify the most important causes for failure of the systems. When preparing, modifying or introducing waste management schemes in towns, the information provided is very helpful.

Key words: Developing Countries, Generation Rate, Influential Factor, Integrated Solid Waste Management, Quality Stakeholder.
