PATIENT HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM USING IOT & GSM

Abstract
As days goes on the lifestyle of the people is also changed. So they do not have time to take care of their health.
Even if they are sick they go with their own medicine without concerning a doctor which may ends up with some critical
situations. IoT is playing a very important role in various fields. It is used in healthcare domain also. This paper describes
about the new concept for healthcare using IoT sensors and GSM module. Here the IOT sensors placed in the body of the
patient and if any abnormal condition is detached such the temperature, humidity and heart beat of the patient are the data
collected by the sensors. The data collected by these sensors are sent to the microcontroller, where the microcontroller
transmits the data to the user in the form of SMS when an abnormal condition occurs. Here GSM module can be used to
transmit information to the emergency care and the guardians. Emergency care number and the family people constant
numbers are stored in the system. The recordings of the patientís health parameters are received by the caretaker in the form
of SMS. If there is any emergency condition based on the information which is collected makes a phone call to the doctor and
so the doctor can arrive at the pace. This is very useful technology where the old age people and physically challenged people
can be benefited a lot.
