THE DEVELOPMENT PROSPECT AND DETERMINATION METHOD OF DYNAMIC ELASTIC MODULUS OF NON-RIGID PAVEMENT STRUCTURE

Abstract
The most important task is to determine the actual elastic modulus of its various layers in assessing the operating conditions of a non-rigid pavement.To solve this problem, an analytical model of the dynamic stress-strain state of pavement has been developed,which focused on the determination of vertical movements on the pavement surface. Based on this model, the software system named “AEM” was developed.The measurement results of dynamic elastic modulus of each layer of the pavement obtained by the “AEM” software system are compared with the results from Belarusian regulatory document TKP-140 "Road Maintenance Procedures". It is established that the changes of the the pavement layers’ elastic modulus obtained by the two methods are consistent.It is also pointed out that the damping factor of each layer of the road surface can be determined by analyzing the amplitude-time characteristics of the road surface displacement.And this is a promising development direction of “AEM” software system in the future.
