BIOCONVERSION OF AGRO-INDUSTRIAL WASTES TO INDUSTRIALLY IMPORTANT ENZYMES: A REVIEW

Abstract
Agro-industrial wastes is very nutritious and contributes to microbial growth. Lignocellulosic is primarily agricultural waste; an enormous fraction contains carbohydrates. Therefore, crop residues such as industrially relevant enzymes can be used in the processing of various value-added goods. Agro-industrial waste, for example bagasse of sugar cane, rice bran and corn cob which have been broadly investigated by different strategies of fermentation for the enzyme’s production. Compared to submerged fermentation methods, solid-state fermentation has great potential for use of agro-based waste for enzyme manufacture. This is because many lignocellulosic substrates naturally produce a solid phase culture and thus represent a means of achieving the recognized potential of this fermentation method. Current studies have exposed that multiple folds can importantly increase enzyme harvests through pretreatment technologies. The article provides an impression of how farm excess can be harnessed effectively as a fermentation raw substantial. In addition, a thorough analysis of studies showed using lignocellulosic food waste in the manufacture of various commercially significant enzymes has been providing.
