EXTRACELLULAR PROTEASE PRODUCTION USING TANNERY WASTE

Abstract
The production of protease increased up to 433 U/ml under optimized conditions through anaerobic fermentation process. The enzyme was found to be acid protease having maximum activity and stability at pH 5 and moderately thermostable having stability upto50C. The enzyme retained its stability towards non-ionic surfactant and non-polar solvents, suggesting that it has potential for different industrial applications.
