PREDICTION OF GEAR PITTING DEFECT BY USING DECISION TREE CLASSIFIER MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHM

Abstract
In order to develop new condition monitoring methods, the role of machine learning algorithm is very useful. In present research paper Decision tree classification Machine Algorithm has been used to predict the severity of gear pitting defect. By using this algorithm one can easily classify the severity of pitting defect based on the noise level. The noise data has been collected by using free field microphone. The model prepared is showing good accuracy. The intent of this paper is to see the implementation of machine learning algorithm in condition monitoring area.

Key words: Condition Monitoring, Gear Faults, Pitting Defect, Decision Tree Classifier, Machine Learning Algorithm.
