FACTORS INFLUENCING PRIVATE SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS IN THAILAND: THE PAVEMENT TO SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE

Abstract
The objectives in this thesis were 1) to study the influence of instructional leadership, school culture, school commitment,
school climate and internal quality assurance that affect to the school effectiveness 2) to study the relationship among
instructional leadership, school culture, school commitment and school climate along with school effectiveness 3) to check
the validity of the causal relationship model of factors which were instructional leadership aspect, school culture aspect,
school commitment aspect, school climate aspect that affect to the school effectiveness and educational quality assurance as
a middle variable. The samples are 320 schools in Bangkok and Bangkok perimeter areas. The informants were 320 deputy
directors of academic department in private schools in Bangkok and Bangkok perimeter areas. The results of the research
revealed that instructional leadership had direct influence, indirect influence and the overall influence on school effectiveness
with statistical significance, school culture had direct influence, indirect influence and the overall influence on school
effectiveness with statistical significance, school commitment had direct influence, indirect influence and the overall
influence on school effectiveness with statistical significance, school climate had direct influence, indirect influence and the
overall influence on school effectiveness with statistical significance and educational quality assurance had direct influence
and the overall influence on school effectiveness with statistical significance and the research with empirical data was the
model fit.
