Abstract
We reviewed the innovation literature in business models with the aid of bibliometric analysis. The papers
included in the review are evolution of business models, business model, open innovation, value acquisition and
architectural innovation. Business Model Innovation is still under development and focuses on market and technology
models studies. The research study should recognize the need for further work on the innovation study holes in the
business model, where companies around the world often struggle and where academics and non-academics researches
need to pay attention. We concluded that, apart from the collateral impact of field misunderstandings, the lack of a
research agenda and uniformity in the principles under study generate incentives for those who view themselves as
symbols of creativity in business models innovation, given the methodological shortcomings in their proposals.

Key words: Business model, Business model innovation co-citation, Analysis bibliographic, coupling Analysis, cluster analysis
