AN EVOLUTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST) ON RETAIL SECTORS IN INDIAN ECONOMY

Abstract
Indian organized retail market is growing at a rapid due to the boom in the India retail industry entry to enhance the
several new players. India is the world’s fifth-largest global destination in the retail space. Indian company which plans
to increase its retail space Growing consumerism would be a key driver for organized retail in India. Organized retailing
in India has a huge scope because of the vast market and the growing consciousness of the consumer about product
quality and services. Objectives of the study are to study the impact of GST on Retail sector in India and to analyze the
before and after implementation of GST on Retail sectors. Methodology based on Secondary data sources are published
articles, journals, government reports, News papers, Media reports etc., In this paper find out that GST creates rapid
growth consumer evolution greater brands recognition, trading up, need for modern shopping environment. It consist
supply side evolution also. Positive regulatory for reduce the multiplicity taxation of taxes and to increase the promise
doing easiness of business.

Key words: Multiple Tax, Vast Market, Product quality, Consumerism, Retail Sectors.
