DYNAMICS OF THE STATE OF HYDROCOLES IN THE GULF OF TYUB-KARAGANFOR 2019

Abstract
The deferred development of oil and gas and the necessity to compare the levels of pollution on this
field using the baseline observing station, have contributed to the contemporary relevance of the research study.
Hence, the article aims todeterminethe baseline stateof hydrobiological communities.
The “Manual on the methods of hydrobiological analysis of surface waters and bottom sediments” and
“Guidelines on hydrobiological fishery research of the Kazakhstan water bodies”providethe key approach to
analyse this problem.
The article presents the results of exploring the dynamics of the hydrobiological communities in the
area ofthe gulf of Tyub-Karagan,species composition, population size, and biomass of phyto-zooplankton
andmacro-zoobenthosby seasons from three sides at equal distances from the structure and the comparison of the
obtained information with the results of the previous year.
The obtained data enabled to identify that the total and average number of the sampled species of
planktonic algae was on the decrease from winter to summer,then it increased by the autumn. A considerable
difference was observed between the average values of the population size and biomass of phytoplankton, when
comparing the data of all 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Zooplankton species abundance and variety within the surveyed portions of the water areawerelow or
relatively moderate. The species composition ofzooplanktonic communitieshad most commonly remained
unchanged. A limited set of typicallyCaspian species, includingrotifers (Rotatoria), copepods (Copepoda), and
larvae of molluscs (Mollusca) occupied a dominant position inzooplankton.
The structural and quantitativeparameters ofmacro-zoobenthosinthe gulf of Tyub-Karaganvaried within
relatively narrow ranges during the four 2019 seasons. The total and average per station number of species,
average population size and biomass had decreased by the autumn.The largestpopulation size and biomass of
benthic community occurred in spring. In all the seasons, worms were dominant in macro-zoobenthos by
population size, molluscs prevailed by biomass.
The paper materialis of practical value to the researchersinvolved withhydrobiology of inland seas, to
graduate and doctoral students.
