ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE SYSTEM FOR VECHICLES AT HAIR-PIN BENDS

Abstract
In day to day life many accidents occurred at the intersection points. ICTWS system as designed to avoid accidents at TIntersection
points only To calculate the distance the two ultrasonic range sensors placed at bends. This system is applicable to
avoid accidents at street corners only .hilly regions have dense forests and many hair pin curves. So it is difficult to drive safely
at turning points and also sometimes the animals come to the road side unknowingly from the forest areas. Due to this traffic
jams occur for a long time and also there are many chances for occurring accidents. Thus keeping in mind the need of safety of
human beings AAS system has been designed , which can give signal to the driver while driving along the hair pin bends. This
system uses atmega328 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, indicator lights which are placed at the turning points to help the
drivers to cross the blind curves safely. It also avoid accidents and traffic jam for a long time due to presence of animal
unknowingly at the road side .PIR (passive infrared) and play back ic speaker are installed in the manufacturing vehicles for
detection of animals to drive safely. By using AAS system traffic jams, accidents are avoided a lot and life of many people are
saved
