IN-VITRO DEGRADATION STUDIES ON MG AND ITS ALLOYS – A REVIEW

Abstract
Magnesium alloys involved great responsiveness as a recent trending of degradable biomaterial. The research analysis of biomedical Mg-alloys is depends on two criteria’s, one is the industrialization based on Mg-alloys, and another is the suitable biomedical Mg-alloys with the perspective of bone implants and scaffolds. In this paper, in-vitro degradation studies with explaining different types of methods used on Mg and Mg based alloy is made in order to understand their corrosion behaviour better. The approach for the future growth of Magnesium based alloys as controlled corrosion behaviour was recommended.
